4F-PCC versus FFP use in warfarin-treated patients: data from two multicentre trials

Dr Joshua Goldstein describes the evidence from clinical trials comparing the efficacy and safety of four-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (4F-PCC) with fresh frozen plasma (FFP) where rapid reversal of vitamin K antagonists is required. The patients were either experiencing acute bleeding or in need of an urgent surgical procedure.
