Medthority (medthority.com) is a web property of EPG Communication Holdings Ltd t/a EPG Health (the service provider) and represents the services and intellectual property of subsidiaries, divisions, related entities and affiliates including but not limited to IMR International (Australia) Pty Limited.

The registered and business address of EPG Communication Holdings Ltd is at Wellington Gate, 7 & 9 Church Rd, Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1HT, United Kingdom.

This service contains an aggregation of content from multiple sources including – but not limited to – independent publishers, government agencies, professional societies, news agencies, our own and independent medical writers, and other users of Medthority.

The service also contains sponsored content, messages and other materials placed and paid for by advertisers, sponsors or others with an underlying commercial or scientific agenda. By using the service you may be exposed to that content, those messages or materials and, where that is the case, a clear statement will be displayed in the header or footer confirming that the content is sponsored, funded, placed, positioned or otherwise commercially funded – along with the source and nature of that funding.

Should a component or element of the service be provided by a group Company or other 3rd party, and unless stated otherwise, then these terms of use shall continue to prevail, and where applicable, are concurrent with those of a third party such Google Analytics.

 1. Intended audience – healthcare professionals

By accessing this service, you are confirming your status as a medical doctor, physician, nurse, clinical specialist or otherwise qualified healthcare professional.

This service is intended for use by healthcare professionals only. Non-professionals or those not possessing a nationally - or internationally- recognised medical qualification should review information carefully with their professional healthcare provider. The information is not intended to replace medical advice offered by doctors, physicians or other qualified healthcare professionals.

We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from non-healthcare professionals or any person under the age of eighteen.

In order to access certain information on this website, you may be required to provide personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy to understand how we use and protect this information.

Furthermore, by accessing the service, you confirm you understand that the content contained herein is made available for an international audience and that the presentation of the service or its content in a local language does not imply a warranty or guarantee from the service provider as to the accuracy or applicability of the content or service for a given region, country or language.

6. Complaints and disputes

If you discover any content on the site which you consider breaches any of these Terms of Use, or if you believe that another user has violated the Terms of Use or infringed your rights, you should notify the service provider immediately. In the event that the service provider receives a complaint regarding the site, the service provider will consider the complaint and take appropriate action, which may include removing the offending content and/or taking legal action. The service provider is not obliged to advise anyone alleged to have, or whom we consider has, infringed the terms, that we have altered, removed, or edited any material they have posted. Any response we give is at our absolute discretion.

7. Accounts and passwords

You may not assign, transfer, share or sublicense the advantages of membership of the site with any other person. If you are a registered user of the site, you must keep your account details and password confidential and your login details must only be used by you. The service provider has the right to disable any login password without prior notice whether chosen by you or allocated by us at any time if, in the service provider’s opinion, you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these Terms of Use or if the service provider determines that it is necessary for the service provider to do so for any reason. If you know or suspect that anyone other than you may know or is attempting to discover your login details, you must promptly notify the service provider.

9. Contact from EPG Health and Medthority

By registering as a user of this service you accept that you may occasionally receive promotional and non-promotional correspondence from us.

This correspondence may also include information or messages sponsored, written or paid for by third party/pharmaceutical/medical device companies or others with a commercial or scientific agenda. As such, these messages may contain sponsored or advertising content related to pharmaceutical products, devices, brands or websites. Where this is the case, the message or part thereof will be clearly marked as 'sponsored' or ‘promotional’.

10. How we use your personal data (summary)

We reserve the right to ask for proof of your qualification as a healthcare professional. Additionally, if you have applied to become a registered user and our verification process reveals that you are not fully registered with a recognised medical regulatory body, the request to become a registered user will be denied. In the event that your registration with a relevant medical regulatory body for healthcare professionals is subsequently revoked, your rights to continue to access and use the site as a registered user will cease. While we take steps to authenticate healthcare professionals’ qualifications, we cannot guarantee that every registered user on the site is indeed qualified or a registered practicing doctor or healthcare professionals.

By registering as a user of this service you agree that your personal data may be used by the service provider, its subsidiaries, affiliates or partners for the purposes of periodic contact (where you have consented during registration) or for the purposes of market research.

11. Modification of these Terms of Use

The service provider may wish to update or change the terms, conditions and notices for the service provided from time to time and reserves the right to make these changes.
