Spasmo-Nervogastrol was an oral medication formulated to relieve gastrointestinal spasms and discomfort. Each tablet contained:

  • Butinoline dihydrogen phosphate – 2 mg
  • Calcium carbonate – 600 mg
  • Basic bismuth nitrate – 150 mg

It was used for:

  • Spasms and pain associated with hyperacidity
  • Acute and chronic gastritis
  • Gastroduodenitis
  • Gastric and duodenal ulcers
  • Heartburn

Spasmo-Nervogastrol is not currently authorized or marketed in the USA or EU, as reflected by its absence from U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and European Medicines Agency (EMA) databases. It was previously manufactured by Sanofi-Synthelabo but is now discontinued.
