Ostochont / Ostochont Thermosalbe were topical ointments formulated for musculoskeletal pain and inflammation containing:

  • Heparin sodium (porcine mucosa)
  • Hydroxyethyl salicylate
  • Benzyl nicotinate

There were used for:

  • Acute and chronic inflammatory and degenerative rheumatic diseases of the spine and musculoskeletal system
  • Muscle tension
  • Sports and accident injuries
  • Tendonitis

Ostochont and Ostochont Thermosalbe are not currently authorized or marketed in the USA or EU, as reflected by their absence from U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and European Medicines Agency (EMA) databases. They were previously manufactured by Gödecke but are now discontinued.
