Two slide decks from leading dermatology experts have been added to the Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (CSU) Learning Zone. These are:

Bringing the urticaria guidelines to life – Elias Toubi

A 44-year-old female presents with transient hives that are recurring daily. Recommendations from the EAACI/GA2LEN/EDF/WAO guidelines are examined in detail and illustrate how doctors can help to correctly diagnose CSU and provide optimal treatment…

Let’s talk patients – Ana Giménez-Arnau

This slide deck contains case studies featuring two different 37-year-old female patients:

  • Case study 1: Discusses the various steps for medical history, physical examination and diagnostic tests. The impact of CSU on the patient’s daily life and the considerations for pregnancy are also discussed.
  • Case study 2: This patient presents with a high UAS7 score, having experienced an episode of chronic spontaneous urticaria 4 years previously. She is treated according to 2013 guidelines.

Other information and resources available on the CSU Knowledge Centre include a disease overview section, symposia platform with highlights from recent congresses, a video channel and resources section containing an events calendar and useful links.

Healthcare professionals can register for free to gain full access to this resource.
