Couldn’t make it to ASCO 2020? Here’s what you missed

Bringing together experts from around the world, ASCO 2020 was brimming with fascinating abstracts, posters and virtual symposia. If you missed it, catch up with our summary of the highlights that came up at this year’s congress.

Delivering the latest in cancer science over three days, this year’s virtual program shared over 250 oral abstract presentations and 2,500 poster presentations in 24 disease-based and specialty tracks. Fascinating topics included:

 

  • Cancer care in the time of COVID, which covered topics such as the clinical impact of COVID-19 on patients with cancer and learning from COVID experiences
  • Novel approaches to harnessing immunotherapy with tumour-specific vaccines, gene-engineered T-cell therapy and bispecific antibodies
  • Using biomarkers to guide targeted therapies in breast cancer with a deep dive into preoperative HER2 biomarkers and using liquid profiling to inform CDK4/6 therapy
