European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation (ECCO) Congress 2018: Science improving patients' lives
The largest and most influential congress dedicated to Crohns disease, ulcerative colitis and inflammatory bowel disease begins soon in Vienna. The 13th Congress of ECCO will be held from February 14-17, 2018, with the organising committee proudly proclaiming over 1000 accepted abstracts including:
- 38 oral presentations in the scientific programme
- 90 digital oral presentations
- 884 poster presentations
The theme for the 13th Congress of ECCO is “Science improving patients’ lives” with special focus being given to the changing landscape in treatment, including new discoveries and innovations that can have an impact on disease management.
Scientific sessions will centre on the evolving concepts of IBD pathogenesis, with unique slots dedicated to covering early stage disease, paediatric IBD, novel treatment strategies, diagnosis and management of dysplasia, best perioperative care and considerations on returning patients with IBD to a normal life.
From understanding the causes of these diseases to milestone developments in diagnostic tools and advanced therapies.
In the past, the ECCO Congress attracted more than 6,200 delegates from all over the world,
