Tomorrow is the 75th anniversary of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI). Using the social media hashtag #ACAAI17, the organisers welcome attendees to this year’s annual meeting from all over the world with an interest in allergy, asthma and immunology.

The congress, hosted in Boston, lasts for four days and incorporates an in-depth programme featuring the following tracks:

  • Asthma and respiratory/sleep disorders
  • Clinical immunology and autoimmune and biologics
  • Dermatology
  • Environmental and integrative medicine track
  • Food and drug allergy and GI disorders
  • Immunotherapy and diagnostics
  • Population health and infectious diseases/international travel

The theme of this year’s Annual Meeting, as they reflect on three quarters of a century, is that of a bright future. Bradley E. Chipps, president-elect, gives this welcome message:

‘Join us October 26-30 in Boston! We’re bringing you cutting-edge research from around the globe, and access to the newest treatments and technologies. The program is perfect for whatever stage you are at in your journey – whether you are a veteran allergist or a fellow-in training. From our Thursday program on food allergy and atopic dermatitis to in-depth practice management sessions, the College is covering all the topics you want. Come see speakers who will inspire you and while you’re there, connect with colleagues at fun networking events.’

To mark the impressive milestone of 75 years, the ACAAI website hosts information about the interesting history of the organisation.
