The latest congress has begun with delegates descending from all over the world to attend educational sessions. Organized and promoted as an international congress every four years, participants from all parts of the world can meet and engage in the free exchange of scientific and clinical knowledge.

The International Society of Dermatology has more than 3000 members, and it publishes monthly the International Journal of Dermatology, specifically designed to provide dermatologists around the world with a regular, up-to-date source of information on all aspects of the diagnosis and management of skin diseases. With a total circulation of 8500 subscriptions, the International Journal of Dermatology reaches 3,000 individual subscribers and 5500 libraries.

The congress is set to discuss a varied programme of dermatology, including a plenary on Targeting the Immune System for the Treatment of Inflammatory Skin Disease, with David Amato (United States) and Hidradenitis Supparativa: Still a challenge, is there something new?  presented by Francisco Kerdel (United States). There are further sessions covering dermatalogical oncology, cosmetics, paediatric dermatology and parasitic dermatology.
