Meet the experts

Eric Legius, MD

Eric Legius is Professor Emeritus of Human Genetics at the University of Leuven, Belgium. He is a clinician scientist with expertise in NF1 and related genetic disorders, with a research focus on the molecular basis of NF1-associated tumors, the identification of Legius syndrome, and contributions to European guidelines for the management of NF1-related tumors.

Ignacio Blanco, MD, PhD

Ignacio Blanco is Clinical Director of the Laboratori Clínic Metropolitana Nord at the Catalan Health Institute and Coordinator of the Clinical Genetics and Counseling Program at Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, Spain. Blanco is a general and digestive surgeon and geneticist with expertise in hereditary disorders, and a clinical focus on the identification and follow-up of individuals and families with genetic-based diseases, particularly rare diseases such as neurofibromatosis.

Rosalie Ferner, MD
