A patient’s view on shaping NMIBC care
Episode 9. Ashish Kamat, patient Doug Cappiello, and caregiver Camille Cappiello explore how treatment pathways in NMIBC are shaped by patient priorities, emotional resilience, and the clarity of communication from care teams. They discuss the emotional burden of recurrence and progression risk, the critical need for clear communication about evolving therapies, and how shared decision-making can empower patients. Camille highlights the caregiver’s role as a vital part of the care team, advocating for their inclusion in important treatment discussions with patients.
