The IBTA (International Brain Tumour Alliance) brings you International Brain Tumour Awareness Week 2017. Running from Saturday 21st October to Saturday 28th October (inclusive), the IBTA are encouraging everyone who can to support this worthy cause.

As part of International Brain Tumour Awareness Week, the IBTA are supporting groups and individuals who are undertaking the fund-raiser Walk around the world for brain tumours. The participants are encouraged to complete sponsored or unsponsored walks and to metaphorically ‘donate’ the miles they have achieved to the World Walk target of circumnavigating the equator (24,901 miles / 40,075 kilometres). Some FAQs about Walk around the world for brain tumours are answered by the IBTA and stories of last year's challenge can also be explored.

The IBTA work with Alliance supporters, prospective supporters, researchers, medical professionals, pharmaceutical and device companies, government agencies, regulators, medical societies, KOLs and the media to advance worldwide awareness of brain tumours, develop promotional activities which highlight the challenges and needs of patients and careers and to disseminate information.
