Urology Week, an initiative of The European Association of Urology (EAU), aims to raise awareness of the importance of urological care and how it can significantly impact quality of life. The week aims to spark discussion, create a platform for shared experiences, and introduce new developments and insights into the study of Urology.

Urology Week is an initiative of the European Association of Urology, which brings together national urological societies, urology practitioners, urology nurses, the patients and their families, and politicians to create awareness of urological conditions among the general public.

The goal of Urology Week is to raise awareness of what urology is truly about, using it as an opportunity to educate people e.g. to regularly check their bodies for symptoms. Prevention is better than cure. Prevention can save lives.

The EAU have developed a campaign page and resources to promote 5 key goals, encouraging healthcare professionals and patients to get involved through:

  1. Reaching out to local community by holding events
  2. Showing support via social media
  3. Joining the Urology Week Thunderclap campaign
  4. Sharing stories and experiences
  5. Starting their own initiative
