Herceptin patents invalidated in UK - Roche
Hospira has won a UK court judgement to invalidate two Roche patents for Herceptin opening the way for a generic cheaper substitute. The primary patent on Herceptin expires on 28 July 2014 in the EU and in the US in January 2019. Herceptin generated CHF 6.93 billion of sales for Roche in 2013.
