Generic Cymbalta is FDA approved-Eli Lilly

The FDA has approved various strengths of generic formulations of Eli Lilly's antidepressant Cymbalta (duloxetine), following the recent loss of its patent protection from Aurobindo Pharma, Dr. Reddy�s Laboratories, Lupin, Sun Pharma, Teva Pharmaceuticals USA and Torrent Pharmaceuticals. Cymbalta has annual sales some $5 billion a year. The launch of generics could have the effect of cutting Cymbalta sales by 70%-80% in a year.
