Best practice guidance for dietitians on the nutritional management of Parkinson’s - Parkinson’s UK

This resource is intended for all dietitians working with people with Parkinson's. It provides a comprehensive, symptom led approach to address the complex nutritional challenges of Parkinson's, including:

 - malnutrition risk and weight management
 - drug-nutrient interactions, such as those involving levodopa
 - management of specific symptoms, including constipation, swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), and dyskinesias
 - advice on supplements, alternative diets, and end of life care.

This guidance was produced in collaboration with dietitians and is endorsed by the British Dietetic Association. It is intended to help dietitians deliver person centred care and positively impact patient outcomes at every stage of the condition.
